Our panel of judges brings together some of the brightest minds in tech and innovation from right here at Berkeley.

Project & Submission Requirements

Before you submit, make sure your project meets the following requirements:

  • Your solution must address a real operational challenge faced by coffee shops
  • Projects must be built during the hackathon window — no pre-built solutions
  • Teams can be 1–4 members, all of whom must be enrolled college students
  • All code must be stored in a public GitHub repository with a clear README
  • Your demo video must be no longer than 3 minutes
  • Slide decks should be no more than 10 slides
  • All submissions must be made through the event platform before the deadline

Judging Criteria & Winner Selection

Projects will be evaluated by our panel of judges across the following criteria:

  • Innovation — How creative and original is your idea?
  • Impact — Does your solution solve a real problem in a meaningful way?
  • Feasibility — Could this realistically be built and used by a coffee shop?
  • Execution — How polished and functional is your demo?
  • Presentation — How clearly did you communicate your idea?
